Jazzpera is a jazz festival that encourages the promotion of young and Catalan artists. This festival is presented in a privileged environment of the Empordà, such as the small village of La Pera, the Castle of Gala Dalí in Púbol or the neighboring town of Rupià.

The Festival celebrates its fifth edition with four concerts and artists regarding the Catalan jazz scene. During the 26th of May and 9th, 15th and 16th of June, enjoy the best Jazz .

The Rafael Maso Foundation has recovered the house where Rafael Maso, a leading architect of Girona, lived until 1912.

The Rafael Maso Foundation has recovered the house where Rafael Maso, a leading architect of Girona, lived until 1912. The house has been restored and preserved as it was when Maso and his family lived. In the same way, the museum is a living testimony of the Noucentista period. Heavily influenced by the Arts & Crafts British Movement and the German regional architecture, Maso wanted to unite the tradition of architecture with the new ideas on the structure and ornamentation of buildings, interior decoration and furniture design.

Rafael Maso was one of the leading architects of the twentieth century. Its architecture is concentrated in the city of Girona and its area of influence. His mainly works are the Farinera Teixidor (1910), the Maso House (1911) and the Athena cultural center (1912) in Girona, the Masramon House in Olot (1913), the Casas House in Sant Feliu de Guixols (1914), and the garden-city of Platja d’Aro (1923).

The Maso House opens from Monday to Friday, except national local holidays. If you want to visit it, you need to reserve, because it can only be visited with a guide and smaller groups of 8 people.

Portlligat, a bay inside the nature reserve of Cap de Creus, Costa Brava

Portlligat is a small bay located in the heart of Cadaqués. The small bay is sheltered from the Mediterranean Sea by a small island. Moreover, the place is popular because retains a small fishing port.
